However, beside than studies, there are other elements also that contribute to Full Marks particularly in CBSE board exams. Therefore, we approached Monika Goel, a maths teacher at Nehru World School, Ghaziabad to help students appearing for class 10 Board Exams by providing some Last minute Revision Tips To Score Full Marks in Maths Paper in Class 10 CBSE Board Exams. This is what Mrs Monika Goel shared -

Tips For Regular Preparation to Score Full Marks:

Maths is a subject which develops a rational thinking and logical approach. Few tips to enhance your Mathematics score during different phases of your preparation are:

Tip 1. Maintain a separate register for formulae and Concepts:

This subject is all about formulae, theories, concepts and it’s always suggested to keep them handy. You can read them even when you are on the go. This practice is really helpful when you are doing your last-minute revision.

Tip 2. Understand the syllabus:

Having a clear understanding about your syllabus and the weightage to various sections will definitely help you to decide how much time you should dedicate to each section.

Tip 3. Find solutions yourself:

It is good to go through various types of problems, but at the same time, you should make sure that you solve them yourself. It’s easy to learn the theories and concepts but to learn their application is not that simple. So, if you want to score full marks in Mathematics, you need to solve each question by yourself, at least 3 to 4 times.

Tip 4. Focus on NCERT books:

Focus on NCERT books for studying as CBSE exams are based on NCERT books. However, you should also solve practice questions from other books in addition to NCERT. Complete all NCERT questions and solved examples. If you are unable to solve a particular question from NCERT, you can take help of NCERT Solutions by Moducation.

Tip 5. Complete You Syllabus 1 Month Before Board Exams:

Do not skip any topic; complete the syllabus thoroughly at least 1 month before board examinations. This will allow you to revise properly and you will be able to score full marks in CBSE Board paper.

Tip 6. Revise Regularly:

Practice a few questions from previous chapters as you study a new chapter. This will make sure you stay in touch with the concepts. It is recommended to fix 2-3 hours revision time on each Sunday.

Tip 7. Determine the areas of improvement:

Realizing the areas where you need to focus more will definitely help you to score better marks in Board exam. Writing Previous Years Papers at Home can help you in finding those sections in which you need more practice so that you can improve the scores.

Tip 8. Solve Previous Years Board Questions:

You should definitely practice the last 5-10 years board question papers to identify trends in the question paper. This will give you better understanding of the concepts that are asked frequently in board exams.

Tip 9. Fix a study schedule:

Fixing a study schedule always help. Fixed time table makes disciplined and discipline makes you successful. However, success doesn’t come just by making it but comes if you work on what you planned.

Tips For Revision Before Board Exam

1. Prepare a list of all important formulae and concepts for quick revision. Understand the usage of the formulae by solving 1 or 2 questions. If there are any doubts clear your doubts as soon as possible from your teacher.

If you have not prepared such formulae list, download Moducation App From Google Playstore.

2. Revise all the topics. Concepts, you have prepared but are not comfortable with, must be revised 2 -3 times during the off days before maths paper.

3. Solve all the questions from NCERT that you have marked or you were unable to solve during your regular preparation.

4. Practice answering previous year papers and sample papers within the time limits of the official CBSE Board exam. You must solve 3-5 previous years’ papers or sample papers in stipulated time during the preparation period before your Maths Paper.

5. Identify your weak areas, where you are unable to answer and where you answer incorrectly. Revise these concepts once more in morning time on exam day.

7. With theorems and concepts remember to understand the applications thoroughly.

8. Long answer questions are scoring and generally come from algebra, geometry, mensuration and trigonometry, so revise them thoroughly.

Exam Time Tips For Maths Paper:

CBSE Maths Paper is scheduled to be held on March 28, 2018. This will be the day to execute all your planning and hard work done for the event. Please start early to reach the examination centre 15-30 minutes early. Do not talk about subject with other students. Here are some tips that will help you optimise your performance during the exam so that you can score best possible marks based on your preparation so far.

1. Utilize 15 minute Reading Time:

CBSE provides 15 minutes of reading time before writing the answers on answer sheet. During this time, read the questions carefully. Divide questions as A (You can definitely answer), B (You can answer but may consume little more time) or C (You can probably answer or you cannot answer).

2. Sequence of Writing Answers:

Because you have already segregated questions during reading time, you should not be worried about in what sequence you should answer the questions in board exam. Simply solve category A first, followed by category B and finally give a try to category C.

It is normal to get stuck on the questions which you are not aware of but you must remember that you have a stipulated time to attend all the questions in the paper. In order to score high in Maths, you must attend the questions you know and then move on to the unfamiliar ones.

3. Keep the Answer Sheet clean:

You should keep in mind that the examiner has to understand every step of your answer and in most of the cases he would not be having much time to spend on a single answer. Avoid overwriting and cutting and draw clean margins for rough work.

4. Write Steps Properly:

Whenever you go through an answer, pay special attention to the steps that helped you get the answer. You cannot simply write the answer and get full marks in Maths, so only paying attention to the figures is wastage of time. Instead of this, write the steps involved in solving the question. You will definitely secure some marks for every step.

5. Maintain Speed Right from Start:

Increase your speed in answering so you are able to complete the exam and have some time left for revision after completing the exam. If you are stuck on a particular question, leave it to solve after you have attempted other questions.

6. Plan Your Answer on Rough Space:

Feel free to plan your answers on rough paper because it helps in understanding the question quicker. You can use a column in your answer sheet for rough work during exams.

7. Draw graphs Wherever Required:

Figures and graphs can help you to score more marks if you make them with a little concentration. For this, you will need a ruler and a sharpened pencil. These are the simplest things that you should not forget to carry as they play a vital role in fetching marks.

8. Pay Attention to Mathematical Operators:

Pay attention to Mathematical Operators, a single misplaced decimal sign or - / + can lead to an incorrect answer in questions you otherwise know.

9. Have Confidence in Yourself:

Have confidence in yourself as you have prepared thoroughly. If at all you are feeling nervous, drink a glass of water, wait for couple of minutes and start writing whatever you can in category A questions. Within few minutes you will be out of nervousness.

If you follow the instructions and tips provided above, you will be able to score Full Marks in Mathematics Paper in Class 10 CBSE Board Exams.

All the best !
