How to Apply for JEE Main Online Registrations 2018 started on December 1, 2017

 

Online registrations for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains 2018 has officially started by The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on December 1, 2017

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started the process of online registrations for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) mains 2018. Interested candidates can apply for the JEE Main 2018 through the official website jeemain.nic.in

How to Fill Application form for JEE Main Registrations 2018?

Candidates interested to apply for JEE Main 2018 need to fill online application form. Following steps are required for JEE main online registration:

 

Step 1. Visit the official website, jeemain.nic.in

 

Step 2. Click on 'Apply for JEE(Main)-2018' given at the bottom of the official page. This will take you to another page giving two options: New Candidate Registration and Only Registered Candidates Sign In

Click on Apply for JEE(Main) – 2018 given under New Candidate Registration. This will open instruction page (Instructions and Procedure for online submission of Application Form for JEE(Main) – 2018). Read these instructions carefully, select the check box given at the bottom of instruction page and then Click Proceed to Apply Online to reach to Authentication Form.

 

Step 3.  Select / Fill all the required details in the Authentication Form JEE main 2018.

You will be required to Select/fill Nationality, State of Eligibility, Identification Type, Identification Number, Candidates Name, Date of Birth and Gender.

Enter Security Pin and click Submit

This will take you to Application Form For JEE (Main) – 2018

 

Step 4: Fill the Online Application Form, choose your Password and note down system generated Application Number.

(i) Fill Exam Related Details:

To apply for the JEE Main 2018, Exam Related Details you are required to select are

  • JEE Main Paper - 1 (For B.E./B.Tech only), JEE Main Paper - 2 (For B.Arch./B.Planning only) or Paper - 1 and Paper - 2 both

  • Mode of the examination (Online or Offline)

  • Question Paper Medium

(ii) Fill Personal Details:

Personal details required to apply for the JEE Main 2018 online registration include: Candidate's Name, Father's Name, Mother's Name, State of Eligibility, Category, Person with Disability (PwD), Are you Diabetic, Date of Birth, Gender, In case of Girl candidate you are required to to declare if you are only child of your parents, Nationality, Place of Residence

(iii) Fill/Select Academic Details: Academic details required to fill online application for JEE Main 2018 include:

  • Year of Passing Class 10th or its Equivalent
  • School Board of Class 12th/Qualifying Examination
  • Name of the Qualifying Examination passed/appearing
  • Place of class 12th / Qualifying Examination Schooling
  • Year of Passing or Appearing Class 12th/Qualifying Exam
  • Type of Institution of Class 12th/Qualifying Examination
  • Percentage of Marks in Class 12th/Qualifying Examination
  • Roll Number of Class 12th/Qualifying Examination (if allotted)
  • Appeared/Appearing for Improvement of Class 12th/Qualifying Examination
  • Enter Roll Number of Class 12th/Qualifying Examination of Improvement Examination (if allotted)
  • Mode of Preparation
  • Name of the School / College from where passed/appearing
  • Address of the School / College from where passed/appearing

(iv) Enter/Select Mailing Address Details:

JEE Main 2018 online application require Mailing address details like

Country, State, District, Address, Locality, Pin Code, Email Address, Mobile Number and

Land Line No. with STD code or any other Contact No. (Not compulsory)

Note: email id and phone number will be verified before image upload step.

(v) Enter/Select Guardian Details

Guardian Details required for online registration for JEE Main 2018 include Qualification, Occupation and Annual income of Father/Guardian and Mother

(vi) Choose Password and Security Question

  • Password must be 8 to 13 characters long.
  • Password must have at least one Upper case alphabet.
  • Password must have at least one Lower case alphabet.
  • Password must have at least one numeric value.
  • Password must have at least one special character like !@#$%^&*-

(vii) Enter Security Pin and Click Next (You can click reset to erase all entries filled during Step 4

 

Step 6: Upload Scanned Images of Candidate Photograph and Candidate Signature as well as Parent/Guardian Signature

The scanned images of photograph and Signature should be in jpg/jpeg format only.

Size of the photo image must be greater than 4 kb and less than 40 kb.

Size of the signature image must be greater than 1 kb and less than 30 kb.

Dimension of photograph image should be 3.5 cm(width) x 4.5 cm(Height) only.

Dimension of signature image should be 3.5 cm(length) x 1.5 cm(Height) only.

NOTE: The Candidate will be able to modify/correct the particulars only before the payment of fees. Once application fee has been paid / e-Challan downloaded, candidate particulars cannot be modified.

 

Step 7: Pay Examination Fee by debit/credit card or e-Challan of Syndicate/Canara/ICICI Bank

Payment by Debit/Credit Card: The candidate has to select Debit/Credit Card option to pay the application fee and follow the online instruction to complete the payment of fee. After successful payment, candidate will be able to print the acknowledgment Page. In case the acknowledgment page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled and amount will be refunded to the candidate account with in a week and however the candidate has to make another transaction till the Acknowledgment Page is not generated

Payment by Bank e-challan: The candidate has to select bank (Syndicate/Canara/ICICI) to deposit the application fee through e-Challan mode. As soon as he/she selects, an e-Challan will be generated containing specific details of the candidate along with amount to be paid. The candidate has to take a printout of the same and take it to the nearest branch of the selected bank for making payment. After the confirmation of fee deposited from Bank/CBSE, the candidate will be able to print the Acknowledgment Page. In case the Acknowledgment Page is not generated, the candidate should contact the concerned bank/branch to update his/her transaction.
