Tips and Tricks to improve marks in JEE main 2018

 

 

Every student does mistakes while preparing for JEE Main Exam. However, successful students learn from their mistakes and do not repeat the same mistake while normal students hardly learn from their mistakes and keep repeating their mistakes. If you want to be successful in JEE Main 2018 and improve your marks, you need to practice more, let all possible mistakes happen during practice, identify all mistakes, remember all these mistakes, learn from these mistakes to avoid them in future, emerge as successful candidate in JEE main 2018.

 

(1) Complete Your Syllabus Timely

 

Complete Your Syllabus before 31st December 2017 i.e. 100 days before  JEE main 2018 Exam. If you feel you can not complete entire JEE main 2018 Syllabus, at least complete 70% chapters that are more important, require deep understanding. Emphasis must be given to concepts mentioned in NCERT because more than 90% JEE main 2018 Questions will be based on NCERT Syllabus. (2) Do Sufficient Practice

 

Once you have prepared any chapter you must attempt 2, 3 tests containing Questions of JEE main level. You must also attempt tests based on combinations of chapters you had prepared earlier so that you stay in touch with those chapters. Part tests in Moducation is a Great feature to achieve this. Here you can chose chapters and JEE Main Part test containing required number of questions form selected chapters can be automatically generated. Questions you have answered correctly in earlier attempts are not asked in new tests.

 

(3) Practice previous years JEE main question papers

 

After preparing each chapter, you should solve at least past 10 years JEE main Questions based on that chapter. You can get last years Chapterwise Solved JEE main papers from Moducation App through www.moducation.org

 

(4) Revise Regularly

 

Regular Revision of important Concepts and formulae of each chapter is very important. In Moducation App you can even categorise concepts and formulae as Prepared and Pending. Therefore, you can easily track which concepts and formulae need more frequent Revision. Revision of Formulae and Concepts from Moducation will save lot of valuable time that can be utilised in solving more questions or preparing more concepts for JEE Main 2018 Exam.

 

(5) Test Analysis

 

Do self Test Analysis after after every test you take. During Test Analysis, you must honestly choose appropriate reason for every incorrect answer you have submitted and also for every question you have skipped. (6) Learn From Mistakes

 

Keep track of all mistakes you have made when you attempt any JEE main Test during your preparation. If you have done the Test Analysis properly, you can generate self analysis reports and Efficiency Reports. These reports give in depth analysis of you preparation for JEE main 2018. You can find your efficiency and exact weakness in each chapter and subject. Once you know it you can plan for your improvement in that chapter more easily.

 

(7) Attempt Shortlisted Questions

 

Attempt only those questions, you have solved Incorrectly or skipped during practice of JEE main 2018. In begining, this should be done at least 15 minutes per day and at least 1 hour daily in last 1 month of your preparation for JEE main 2018. (8) Practice Yearwise Previous Years JEE main Papers

 

During last 1 month of your preparation you must Solve 1 Previous Year paper on daily basis. It will teach you time management, help find out areas where silly mistakes are still happening, and get familiar with the exam pattern. 

Also, if you solve 15-20 JEE main question papers of previous years, there is a good chance that some questions will be repeated. In such questions, you can happily earn some free marks!

 

(9) Optimise Your Speed

 

By solving previous years papers of JEE main, you can keep an eye on speed and accuracy.

When practising question papers or taking a mock test, check whether you are able to solve the problems and answer all the questions within the stipulated time. If time runs out and you are still stuck with half a dozen questions, it is sign you need to improve your speed.

 

(10) Accuracy is More Important

 

Improving the accuracy of your answers is also critical to score well in JEE main exam. You can cut down on mistakes by clearing your concepts and also by practicing more problems. 

Errors made on final JEE main 2018 will be costliest and you cannot afford them. Therefore, it becomes more important to prepare yourself against all possible mistakes.
